Perform Root Cause analysis for recurring or high severity issues resulting in issue reduction.</li><li>Identify automation opportunities to improve the way we operate and work closely with technology to leverage system functionalities to improve the process.</li><li>Preparation of journals, ensuring that journals are accurately and timeously uploaded and processed in SAP.</li><li>Preparation of monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations.</li><li>Administer and timeously clear all open items in SAP to ensure a healthy ageing status.</li><li>Manage GL Chart of Accounts</li><li>Adherence to General Ledger closure deadlines in accordance to management requirements.</li><li>Assist the team to meet weekly and monthly targets and all relevant SLA’s and KPI’s.</li><li>Maintenance of role training documentation. Assisting in knowledge transfer to new employees within the role.</li><li>Adhere to internal control protocols and provide information as required to internal and external audit.</li><li>Share information as it relates to business requirements.</li><li>Help the team and Team Lead in identifying process improvements, excellence and process efficiency opportunities.</li><li>Present to the Team Lead key challenges, insights and workarounds.</li><li>Trouble shoot issues and share improvement ideas with Team Lead.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Qualifications & Experience<br><br></strong><ul><li>Accounting background and experience</li><li>3 – 5 years prior related position experience required.</li><li>Computer skills (MS Office, Financial systems.
