Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous and analytical Data Quality Analyst to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data across various systems and platforms within Zenith Bank. This role is critical in maintaining the integrity of our data assets, which directly supports informed decision-making and regulatory compliance. You will work closely with data owners, IT teams, and business units to identify, investigate, and resolve data quality issues, implement data governance policies, and contribute to the development of data quality frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement data quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
  • Conduct regular data profiling and analysis to identify data inconsistencies, errors, and anomalies.
  • Design, develop, and maintain data quality dashboards and reports to monitor data health.
  • Collaborate with data stewards and business units to define data quality rules and validate data definitions.
  • Investigate and resolve data quality issues by performing root cause analysis and recommending corrective actions.
  • Work with IT teams to implement data validation rules, data cleansing routines, and data integration solutions.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of data governance policies and frameworks.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on data quality principles and tools.
  • Participate in data-related projects, ensuring data quality considerations are addressed throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data querying and analysis.
  • Experience with data profiling and data cleansing tools.
  • Understanding of data governance principles and data quality frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Ability to translate complex data issues into understandable business terms.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Certifications in data management, data quality, or business intelligence (e.g., CDMP).
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Familiarity with banking industry data models and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with data quality tools such as Informatica Data Quality, IBM InfoSphere QualityStage, or similar.
