Our client is seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Senior Agronomist & Farm Manager to oversee and optimize agricultural operations. This is a crucial on-site role based in the vibrant agricultural landscape of Gurugram, Haryana . The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of crop science, soil management, pest control, and irrigation techniques. You will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive farming strategies to maximize yield and quality while ensuring sustainable practices are followed. This includes planning crop rotation, selecting appropriate seeds and fertilizers, and managing the application of agrochemicals. You will also lead a team of farm workers, providing training, supervision, and performance management to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and safely.

Key responsibilities include:
Developing and executing strategic agricultural plans for various crops. Monitoring soil health, nutrient levels, and implementing appropriate soil enrichment programs. Diagnosing and managing crop diseases, insect infestations, and weed problems. Overseeing irrigation systems, ensuring optimal water usage and efficiency. Managing the procurement of seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, and farm equipment. Leading, training, and supervising farm labor to ensure productivity and adherence to safety standards. Maintaining detailed records of all farm activities, including planting, harvesting, pest control, and financial expenditures. Implementing and promoting sustainable and environmentally friendly farming practices. Collaborating with researchers and extension services to adopt new agricultural technologies and best practices. Ensuring compliance with all relevant agricultural regulations and safety protocols. The successful candidate will hold a Master's degree in Agronomy, Agriculture, or a related field, with a minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in farm management and agronomy. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential. A strong understanding of local crop types and agricultural challenges in the Haryana region is highly desirable.
