Our client is seeking a reliable, compassionate, and experienced Nanny / Childcare Provider to join their family in the heart of Lagos. This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, combining in-home care with potential for some remote administrative tasks related to childcare scheduling and communication. You will be responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for their children. This includes adhering to daily routines, preparing nutritious meals and snacks, engaging children in age-appropriate activities and educational play, and ensuring their overall well-being. The ideal candidate has a genuine love for children, excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of child development. You should be adept at managing multiple children if required, demonstrating patience, creativity, and responsibility. Light housekeeping duties related to the children will also be part of your responsibilities. This position requires flexibility, trustworthiness, and a proactive approach to childcare. Responsibilities include:
Provide attentive and loving care for children aged (Specify Age Range, e.g., 2-7 years). Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times. Plan and implement engaging age-appropriate activities, games, and outings. Prepare healthy and balanced meals and snacks according to dietary guidelines. Assist with homework and educational activities. Maintain a tidy and organized play area and children's rooms. Manage nap times and bedtime routines. Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress, activities, and any concerns. Handle light household tasks directly related to the children, such as children's laundry and tidying up after play. Occasional assistance with remote communication or scheduling for childcare-related matters. Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Nanny, Childminder, or similar role, with verifiable references. Demonstrated understanding of child development stages and age-appropriate care. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Patience, reliability, and a responsible attitude. Ability to multitask and manage time effectively. CPR and First Aid certification is highly preferred. Willingness to undergo a background check. A proactive approach to identifying and addressing children's needs. Flexibility to adapt to family schedules and needs. Passion for childcare and creating a positive impact on children's lives.
