Job Description

Join our dynamic manufacturing team at Unilever Nigeria Plc as a Manufacturing Team Member. In this crucial role, you will contribute to the production of high-quality consumer goods, ensuring efficiency, safety, and adherence to our rigorous quality standards. Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor manufacturing equipment and machinery according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Perform routine quality checks on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, environmental regulations, and quality management systems (QMS).
  • Assist with equipment changeovers, cleaning, and basic maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain accurate production records and log sheets.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to optimize production flow.
  • Identify and report any production issues, equipment malfunctions, or safety hazards promptly.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and training programs.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of SSCE/WASSCE or its equivalent.
  • Ability to follow instructions and procedures diligently.
  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights.
  • Flexibility to work in shifts (day/night).

Preferred Qualifications

  • OND/HND in a relevant technical field (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, Food Science).
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment, especially FMCG.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Experience with basic machine operation and troubleshooting.
