Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and meticulous Cleaner to join our facilities team, specifically for office maintenance during the morning shift, at our prominent branch located on Akin Adesola, Victoria Island. This crucial role involves ensuring the cleanliness, hygiene, and overall tidiness of our office premises, creating a pristine and comfortable environment for our staff and customers. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of cleaning duties, maintaining high standards of cleanliness across all areas, including workspaces, common areas, restrooms, and external premises. You will play a vital role in upholding Zenith Bank's image of professionalism and excellence through your dedication to a spotless environment. We are looking for an individual who is reliable, detail-oriented, proactive, and takes immense pride in their work, understanding the direct impact a clean space has on daily operations and overall morale. This is an on-site position requiring consistent morning availability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming floors, and dusting office furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms, ensuring they are stocked with necessary supplies (toilet paper, soap, paper towels).
  • Empty waste bins and recycling containers, ensuring proper waste disposal and segregation.
  • Clean glass surfaces, windows, and mirrors to maintain a sparkling appearance.
  • Replenish cleaning supplies and alert management when stock levels are low.
  • Conduct deep cleaning tasks periodically as required, such as scrubbing floors or cleaning carpets.
  • Ensure all cleaning equipment is maintained in good working condition and stored properly.
  • Report any maintenance issues, damage, or safety hazards observed within the premises to the facility manager.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, company policies, and cleaning best practices.
  • Maintain a respectful and professional demeanor towards staff and clients at all times.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a cleaner or in a similar role, preferably in an office or corporate environment.
  • Ability to operate basic cleaning equipment and understand the use of various cleaning agents.
  • Strong attention to detail and a meticulous approach to work.
  • Good physical stamina and the ability to perform tasks requiring bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
